When In Rome…
I am becoming increasingly alarmed at the BS that continues to dribble out into the open in regards to “our country should be more sensitive, or we should love our enemies.”
It’s like, these idiots want us to turn America into a “fluff zone” or something. We have witnessed the most horrendous act ever perpetrated on American soil, and now we are supposed to ask these people what it is about us they hate. Folks want us to look at ourselves and see what’s wrong with us. Come on people, get a grip!
For many years, this country has bent over backward to help every nation, both great and small, whenever facing troubling times. We were always there to pitch in with whatever was necessary, usually US money, as a form of aid to these people. Yet, these same people have the nerve to attack us. And to beat all, we have some people here in our own country, people who were bred and born in the USA, whining about us being so uncivil towards our enemies. Hello! We have lost 6000 plus people in an act of terrorism…an act of war, and we’re supposed to do the kissy face with them? So how long have you been on this planet?
I’ve heard all my life, the old axiom, “When in Rome…”, well let’s now apply that to our country. When in America…! So, I suggest to you whiny people who are displeased that our country is finally being aggressive towards the people who have attacked us, to either act as Americans, or leave! If you’re not satisfied here, I will say again, as I have in other columns…Delta is ready when you are.
It’s funny that some of you people have no problem with coming to the USA and taking jobs and wages, but when it comes down to it, you want us to adapt to your language and culture, and frankly, that just doesn’t cut it with me. If I visit a foreign land, I am expected to be prepared to deal with the cultural differences, once I arrive. I cannot expect everyone to accommodate me, simply because “I’m new here”. So, neither should the people who are not trying to blend in and become real American citizens. They seem to want to be citizens in name only, so they can work and maintain a living, or drain our society dry via tax relief and federal aid. And then they have the nerve to complain about an American flag being displayed somewhere.
To you, I say…stick it! If you don’t like the ways of America, then find yourselves a flight, buy a ticket, and hop on the first thing smoking out of the USA. I hope that our country will change in a way that will be very inconvenient for those who aren’t true Americans, and for those who want to whine and complain and belittle our system, yet when the going gets tough, you want this country to provide adequate compensation and help for you, even though you will not acknowledge America as your home…only as your place of banking! And frankly, I’m sick of the whole mess, and everyone involved.
If it takes profiling, lockdowns, deportations, or whatever…I’m all for it. We already fought one war with foreign lands across the way, but I’ll be damned if I have to fight one inside America with those who don’t belong here. As I said, if you don’t like it, leave. And soon.
Like they say, when in America…
