And the Diversity You Rode In On

Published

on

We’ve preached from the rooftops across America, this sermon about Diversity, and how it is good for America. Yes, such a wonderful thing to have in such days and times.

Let’s first look at the definition of this word, diversity, or diverse.

di·verse (d-vûrs, d-, dvûrs)
adj.
Differing one from another.
Made up of distinct characteristics, qualities, or elements: “Prague… offers visitors a
series of excursions into a rich and diverse past” (Olivier Bernier).

Well, as we can see here, this is surely a portrait of America, is it not? She is loaded with distinct characteristics and characters, I might add, qualities, and surely elements. But let’s look at what has become of our diversity, including the ushering in of Political Correctness.

Now that we are so diverse, we cannot have buildings or institutions that display anything sacred, such as God Bless America, In God We Trust, and things patriotic. We have become so diverse, that heaven forbid, we offend someone, who is not even a citizen by birth. No, we must protect their beliefs, or lack of, to keep them from whining. Yeah, let’s hear it for Diversity!

We have seen the refusal to allow Santa in a town, we have seen smoking being banned in neighborhoods, and we have seen Bibles and all things Christian eliminated, but, for the sake of Diversity, we will allow Gay Parades, Shakedown Artists, and Porno pushers welcomed and given keys to the city. Bibles are out, the Quoran is in, Christianity is taboo and Islam is being spoon-fed to our kids in school. And you can’t sit at a traffic light without being subjected to ear-shattering cRap music. Yeah, let’s hear it for Diversity!

If this isn’t enough, some schools are re-writing history to make it kinder and gentler, with no regard to the truth. And yet we wonder why we are raising a new society of whiners. Go figure. No one takes responsibility for anything. It’s always the fault of others, and someone always owes these clowns something. Gimme, gimme, gimme. Well, I say screwye, screwye, screwye. And the diversity you rode in on. And I’m just getting warmed up!

Now, we are becoming so diverse, you want to silence me, empower yourself, come take my gun away, and then say that you will protect me. Horse feathers. You can’t even protect yourselves. You’re always asking for a handout, yet, you want to do my thinking for me. Yes, we have become so diverse, that it has turned into perverse.

And I honestly pray that I get a lot of arguments from this because I’m loaded for bear. Oops. May I still say things like that? Watch me! We are now being taught that Right is Wrong Wrong is Right, and Evil is Good and Good is Evil, and more and more garbage. Let’s now look at this other word I threw out there for you. Perverse:

per·verse (pr-vûrs, pûrvûrs)
adj.
Directed away from what is right or good; perverted.
Obstinately persisting in an error or fault; wrongly self-willed or stubborn.

Where’d everyone go? Do I have a witness? Did I strike a nerve? Can somebody say Amen? No, that wouldn’t be PC, would it? You want me to be sensitive to all your whims, but yet, you want to castigate mine. You want the right to never be offended, but you want the opportunity to silence me and still me at every bend. Sorry, people. It’s not going to happen. I’m sick of people whining about their rights. Let me explain something to you. For every right, there comes an obligation. Know anything about that? Obligation sometimes puts duty in the same mold. This rights thing is not free. It’s bound and packaged with some exercises on your part. But people tend to sidestep that part.

But I can tell you this. I’m up to my eyeballs in diversity. I’m ready to pack ’em and ship ’em out to the places from whence they came. Diversity, in the right sense, is fine and dandy. But when you begin to turn diverse into perverse, well, all I can say is:

and the Diversity you rode in on!
